Gabe is originally from Seattle, WA. Before co-founding Focus Integrated Fitness in 2001, Gabe studied Contemporary Art Theory and Painting at The Art Institute of Chicago and Cooper Union and a Post Baccalaureate Pre Med curriculum at New York University. In addition to completing extensive continuing education coursework annually, Gabe has received licenses and certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the American Council on Exercise, the National Academy of Sports Medicine and New York State. Gabe is a former New York City Firefighter, assigned to Ladder 12 in Downtown Manhattan, specializing in search and rescue and High Rise operations. He is an extreme sporting events and martial arts enthusiast, competing in the 100 mile 24-hour Odyssey Adventure Race in North Carolina three times through out the 2001-3 season and the 24 Hours of Adrenalin Race Series (NJ) in 2003. Through out his career in Fitness, Gabe has traveled internationally with his clients, specializing in pre/post habilitation, sport performance and conditioning, weight loss, injury prevention and strength training. Additionally Gabe has been a fitness consultant for CBS-TV, WB 11, I-Village Online, The Daily News, Forbes.com,top New York City physicians and an athletic model for Fila sportswear.
