Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Danielle comes from a very athletic and driven family. Her parents introduced her to sports at a very young age and she grew up playing basketball, volleyball and softball. Danielle also studied Taekwondo and American Boxing for 8 years at Frohm's Martial Arts in Oakland. Through her practice at Frohm’s, she learned to embody the core values of courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self control and discipline. Before moving to New York, Danielle assisted her Godmother in opening a private fitness studio in San Leandro, CA called Fitbody. Danielle honed her own skills as a fitness professional at Fitbody, instructing group x classes, training clients one-on-one, and working with special populations. After moving to Brooklyn, NY, Danielle began teaching kick boxing and total body conditioning classes at her local YMCA. She also started her boxing journey at Gleason's Gym in Brooklyn, where she is now a registered Amatuer Boxer through USA Boxing Metro. Danielle is a certified Swim Instructor and has been teaching both kids and adults for four years now. She particularly enjoys working with children and appreciates their ability to keep her grounded, humble and patient. In addition to boxing and swimming, Danielle possesses a background in Dance and is well-versed in hip hop, Afro-Haitian, Belly Dance, and Afro-Peruvian.
