Deborah Cooke, MA, CES

In addition to earning a B.A. in Health and Exercise Science from Gettysburg College and an M.A. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Missouri-Columbia, Deb has 15 years of personal training experience under her belt. She began her career in the fitness industry as a NATA-BOC Athletic Trainer, where she gained vast experience in sports rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Her breadth of scientific knowledge combined with her hands-on work with a broad clientele has given her a solid understanding of the moving body and the adaptations that occur with proper training, and this allows her to mesh the many domains of exercise into comprehensive yet specific programs that yield maximum results. Deb has also taken her expertise to the next level over the past six years, using her exercise knowledge and teaching skills to educate others on how to become top-notch personal trainers. She has worked at higher education institutions, gyms and, most recently, our very own Focus Personal Training Institute. Deb strongly believes that you can't just move your body, you have to feel the movements correctly; in effect, she’ll have you feeling results right away.
