Demarius B.

FPTI, NASM-CPT

A New York transplant by way of Los Angeles, Demarius began his fitness journey in youth sports leagues playing basketball, baseball, football and golf. His passion for sports and training continued into high school, where he participated in wrestling, basketball and boxing.

After graduating high school, Demarius enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. While serving, he attended the Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor course. As a black belt instructor, Demarius applied high-intensity conditioning, attention to detail and impassioned motivation to help his fellow Marines improve their combat effectiveness and physical aptitude. He completed his Military service with high honors and was decorated with The Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding duty while performing critical missions.

The demanding physicality of the military motivated Demarius to continue his pursuits in fitness and he enrolled into the Southern California Health Institute in Los Angeles. While completing the rigorous 900-hour curriculum, he realized the importance of educating himself as a trainer in order to implement the safest and most effective training methods based on science and individual client needs.

Demarius’s thirst for knowledge and his desire motivated him to seek out the Focus Personal Training Institute. As a student in FPTI’s 700-hour Master Course, Demarius displayed exemplary dedication to learning the application of exercise science. Upon graduation, he was quickly brought on as a member of the Focus Integrated Fitness team.

Demarius now employs a myriad of modalities and fitness concepts so that his clients may achieve optimal results and enjoy the training process. He aims to foster a growth mindset that allows them to accurately execute tasks despite fatigue and self-doubt. With the use of smart, effective and balanced programming, Demarius is able to help others establish the physical capacity and mental discipline necessary to overcome everyday struggles and challenges.
