Pete was involved in sports from a young age. He played football, lacrosse and wrestling throughout high school, and went on to play for the men’s lacrosse team at Auburn University. The opportunity to play sports dwindled later in life, however, and Pete began to gain weight and get out of shape. Battling with his fitness for most of his adult life, and seeing multiple successes and failures, he turned to CrossFit in 2013 as a means to get into and stay in shape while also obtaining his Level 1 CrossFit certification.
As time progressed, Pete’s passion shifted more toward strength training with barbells and coaching others as a career. He enrolled at the Focus Personal Training Institute to ensure he had the best education possible to become an effective trainer, and he finished at the top of his 700-hour Master Course class. Pete now possesses the background to help clients achieve any goal – be it strength, weight loss or athletic performance. Pete has also earned the prestigious Starting Strength Coach credential, focusing on strength and barbell training. As one of our in-house Starting Strength coaches, Pete brings extensive coaching ability and technical expertise to all of his clients looking to improve strength and training form.
Prior to becoming a trainer, Pete worked in retail management, running high-volume stores and districts with hundreds of employees. His years of leadership experience have helped him develop a professional maturity and the ability to connect with people, and these skills have proved paramount to his current success with his training clients.
