Eri M.

Eri was born in Japan, raised in New York, and now part of our San Francisco team. After quitting a career in engineering and leaving a disconcerting environment, Eri refocused on her fitness. Starting with a simple couch to 5K running app, she was able to shed the 40 pounds she gained during her trying times. She strongly believes that mental health goes hand in hand with physical fitness.

With a new appreciation for mental and physical health, Eri attended Focus Personal Training Institute and completed the 700 hour Personal Training Master Course. During her time at Focus, she fell in love with barbell strength training. In addition to strength training, Eri has also completed half marathons, earned her Spartan Double Trifecta, and raced in many dragon boat paddling competitions.

As a trainer, Eri wishes to educate her clients through their journey to become the best version of themselves. Safety is always number one and she is a stickler for proper form. She’ll be your biggest cheerleader, but she’ll also push you toward your goals.
