Micah Y.

Micah is a Queens native and NASM-certified personal trainer with a specialization in weight loss. At an early age, he faced the challenges of being overweight and having asthma. Aspiring to live a healthier lifestyle and lose weight, Micah began his fitness journey by participating in sports such as football, basketball, boxing, martial arts, and even a few 5k races. The result was an impressive 30-pound weight loss over one summer and a newly developed passion for physical fitness.

While individual accomplishments and personal transformation were achievements Micah was proud of, he found the most satisfaction in helping others with their own health and fitness goals. Because of this, Micah decided to pursue a career as a personal trainer and immediately began working with a diverse client population, ranging from 10-year-olds to adults in their 70s. Micah’s innate desire to grow professionally eventually lead him to the Personal Training Foundations Course at Focus Personal Training Institute. At FPTI, Micah studied the fundamentals of exercise science, including Anatomy, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Program Design, Assessment and Injury Prevention.

Micah aims to impact the world and empower his clients through education, positive thought and behavior change that will enable them to create lifelong healthy habits and confidence.
