Nathalie D.

B.S., NCSF

Born to Dominican immigrants, the New York native loves the hustle and bustle of the city, but appreciates the calm and relaxing scenery of her family’s hometown. Thus, her training style is a hybrid between powerful & explosive movements, and regenerative & mindful movements. Sports have always been prevalent in Nathalie’s childhood and it is the center of many fond memories. Specifically volleyball, softball, and basketball. She grew up as the youngest sibling with athletic older brothers who challenged her to keep up on the courts and fields. As her passion for sports and physiology grew, Nathalie spent many years working alongside athletic trainers, teams’ coaching staff, physical therapists, and also pursued a degree in Exercise Science from the City University of New York- Brooklyn College. During her years studying kinesiology and human biomechanics, she had various intensive internships under physical therapists, and athletic trainers all while passionately studying the art of movement.

With Nathalie's education and training experience, she has worked with post injury clients, young kids, pre/post natal, special populations, elderly, athletes, weekend warriors, and anyone in between. Her greatest satisfaction lies in being able to customize a program that can improve someone's quality of life through fitness. She is a natural motivator and makes sure her sessions are always fun, safe, and effective. Moreover, her on-the-job experiences have afforded her a well-rounded skill set in in being able to create a friendly and professional environment for her clients to reach any goal they may have- big or small.

Her desire to keep learning, and her curiosity in the field has led her to experience many opportunities over her career of formal training and she has now found a home in Focus Integrated Fitness. Nathalie strongly believes in conquering any and all fitness goals through proper education, effective and progressive programs, and most importantly, fun!
